The Premier League`s two unbeaten teams will go head to head on Saturday evening as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield in what promises to be a pulsating game of football.

Since losing the Community Shield to Manchester City via a penalty shootout, Jurgen Klopp`s men have won their opening two Premier League matches either side of a UEFA Super Cup win over Chelsea. They will now look to add continue their unbeaten start to the campaign by seeing off the challenge of Arsenal.

The Reds have not been beaten at home in their last 41 Premier League matches and are unbeaten in their last eight against the Londoners. In their last three encounters at Anfield, Liverpool have scored 12 goals to Arsenal`s two. Last season, the game ended 5-1 in favour of the home side.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will look to claim top spot in the table by recording their league first win at Anfield in seven years. Unai Emery`s men got off to their perfect start to the season winning 1-0 away at Newcastle and at 2-1 home to Burnley. With a top-four finish the target, they will hope to carry that momentum into one of the toughest fixtures they will compete in this year.

The Gunners don`t have a great track record at Anfield having shipped 22 goals in the last seven fixtures between the two at home and away. They will need to perform at a much higher level than they have so far this term if they are to cause an upset on Saturday evening.

Betting odds and tips

Liverpool have looked the best side in the league based on the opening two performances and that is ominous for everyone else as the Reds were expected to be jaded after their cup exploits and busy summer schedule which saw many players return late from international duty. With that in mind, there is little to suggest that Arsenal can buck their recent trend of wilting on the Anfield turf. However, they will hope to at least get on the scoresheet as Liverpool continue with their second choice goalkeeper.
