Premier League preview and odds: Aston Villa vs. Watford
November 28, 2015 15:00pm - Villa Park
Premier League
Aston Villa will continue their quest for a first win under new boss Remi Garde on Saturday when they welcome Watford to Villa Park in the Barclays Premier League.
Villa recovery halted by Toffees
After earning a draw at home to title favourites Manchester City, Aston Villa fans must have truly believed that a Remi Garde-inspired revival was well underway. However, the Villains were brought crashing back down to earth at the weekend when they went down by four goals to nil away from home to a young Everton side.
Transforming the fortunes of a side that had lost nine out of ten games in the league was never going to be easy and the performance at Goodison Park was a reminder that there is still a long way to go.
A quick look at the league table and Villas biggest problem becomes clear - they do not score enough goals. So far this term, they have bagged just 10 goals and have only scored once in their last four home games.
Watford suffer two straight defeats
Watford come into this game on the back of two straight defeats and have now slipped to 13th place in the table. However, thanks to their strong start to the season, they still retain a seven point margin over the relegation positions. It should also be noted that those two defeats came against league leaders Leicester City and 20-time champions Manchester United.
Watford have only lost two of their six games on the road this season (Leicester and Man City) and will provide a tough challenge for the Midland team. Eight of the Hornets 12 goals this season have been scored away from home.
Team news
Villa coud welcome back Craig Gardner and Jores Okore, while Gabby Agbonlahor remains a doubt.
Meanwhile Watford will have to make do without Sebastian Prodl and Joel Ekstrand.

Betting odds and tips
Villa fought hard to earn a draw against City but they look utterly toothless in front of goal. They may find themselves fighting to hang on for a point against their newly-promoted opponents.
Watford have won two, drawn two and lost two away from home this season. Both of their defeats came against top-three sides and they will be going into this game with confidence after losing just one of their last four games on the road.
Quique Sanchez Flores team are not big scorers but most of their goals have come away from home. They have shown enough this season to suggest that they can take advantage of Villas poor form and can be backed at 9/5 with Bet365.
