Sheffield United vs Manchester United - Premier League Preview and Odds
November 24, 2019 16:30pm - Bramall Lane (Sheffield)
Premier League
Sheffield United will look to return to fifth in the table when they host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. The visitors are just a point below the Blades and could also claim fifth spot with a win.
Chris Wilder`s men are unbeaten in five since losing 1-0 at home to Liverpool and they have won their last two home matches in a row, against Arsenal and Burnley. With a record of four wins, five draws and just two defeats, and a goal difference of plus four from their opening 12 matches, the newcomers look well placed to retain their Premier League status.
Playing Manchester United no longer holds the fear it once did and the Blades will be buoyed by their performances against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur which yielded one win, two draws and a narrow defeat to the league leaders.
While they haven`t been scoring many, Sheffield United have the second-best defence in the league behind Leicester City. If they can up their strike rate, they could become real contenders for a Europa League place.
Meanwhile, Manchester United look to be out of contention for the top four with only a third of the season gone so will now have to set their sights on finishing best-of-the-rest. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer`s men are an alarming 21 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool and 10 adrift of fourth-ranked Chelsea.
The Red Devils have only won four of the 12 games they have played this term and have won just once on the road since the beginning of March. Like their hosts, they have been fairly strong in defence but have lacked sharpness in front of goal. But despite their poor form, the board seems intent of sticking with the Norwegian boss for the foreseeable future.

Betting odds and tips
The hosts are in good form and seem full of confidence. This could be the optimum time to face a United side that has won just one Premier League game on the road since March and 11/4 is a decent price for them to take all three points.
You can back Sheffield United to win at 11/4.
