Premier League preview and odds: Leicester City vs Everton
December 26, 2016 15:00pm - King Power Stadium
Referee: S. Attwell
Premier League
Reigning champions Leicester City will continue their quest to salvage their floundering league campaign when they square up to ninth-ranked Everton at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day. The visitors themselves, will be out to record their first away win in six matches.
Leicester still strong at home
Despite fluffing their lines in their Premier League title defence, Leicester City still have an impressive record on home soil, having lost just one of their last 23 matches at the King Power Stadium. In their last home match, they romped to a 4-2 win over pre-season title favourites Manchester City. They come into this game on the back of a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Stoke City.
Claudio Ranieri`s men will be hoping to earn enough points over the Christmas period to stave off any relegation fears. At the moment, they are just three points above the drop zone approaching the halfway point in the season.
Meanwhile, Everton have their early-season form to thank for their current top 10 ranking. Over the last 10 games, the Toffees are ranked 17th in the form table, having won just two of their last 12 matches.
Ronald Koeman`s men entered Christmas week on the back a 0-1 home defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. They are winless in six on the road, having lost five and drawn one, and defeat in the East Midlands on Monday could see them drop out of the top 10.
Team news
The home side will be weakened by the triple suspension of Robert Huth, Christian Fuchs and Jamie Vardy, while Danny Drinkwater remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to cope without the services of Maarten Stekelenburg (leg), James McCarthy (hamstring), Yannick Bolasie (knee), Arouna Kone (knee), Muhamed Besic (knee) and Matthew Pennington (thigh).

Betting odds and tips
Leicester are tough to beat at home, while Everton have struggled away from Goodison Park in the last couple of months. However, with three suspensions being served, the home side will not have it all their own way and a tight game can be expected.
