Premier League preview and odds: Norwich City vs Newcastle United
April 02, 2016 15:00pm - Carrow Road
Premier League
Two teams in danger of relegation from the Premier League will battle it out on Saturday, when 17th-ranked Norwich City welcome 19th-ranled Newcastle United to Carrow Road.
Norwich out of drop zone.
A run of two games unbeaten in which they picked up a total of four points, has helped to lift Norwich City out of the Premier League relegation places. Prior to that, they had lost eight of their previous nine matches and appeared to be heading back to the Championship. This weekend, they can boost their survival hopes even further by beating one of their direct relegation rivals.
Alex Neil`s men come into this game on the back of an impressive 1-0 win away to West Bromwich Albion. That game marked their first win in the league since January 2.
Benitez looking for morale-boosting win
Rafa Benitez has picked up just a single point from his first two games in charge at St James` Park but there have been some positive signs for the Geordies. However, they will need to start winning games soon if they are going to haul themselves out of the Premier League danger zone.
In their last match, they showed great fighting spirit to come from a goal behind to earn a draw at home to rivals Sunderland. That game marked the first goal and the first point won under the Spaniard.
Team news
Norwich City will be hampered by the absences of Robbie Brady, Nathan Redmond and Alexander Tetty.
Meanwhile, Newcastle`s extensive injury woes continue as Daryl Janmaat, Paul Dummett, Tim Krul, Curtis Good, Ivan Toney and Sylvain Marveaux are all still out injured, while Fabricio Coloccini, Cheik Tiote and Kevin Mbabu all remain doubtful.

Betting odds and tips
Both teams have been in poor form but have shown improvement in the last two games. Newcastle`s biggest issue away from home has been scoring goals - with just seven scored so far.
This one looks set to be a tight low scoring affair and could well finish all square.
You can back the Draw at 23/10 with Bet365. Under 2.5 Goals can be backed at 8/11.
