Chelsea vs Bayern Munich - International Champions Cup Preview and Odds
July 25, 2017 12:35pm - International Stadium, Singapore
Premier League
Bayern Munich will look to bounce back from last weekend`s humiliating 4-0 defeat to AC Milan when they take on reigning Premier League champions Chelsea in the International Champions Cup on Tuesday.
Chelsea`s pre-season started on a positive note with a convincing 3-0 win over upcoming Community shield opponents Arsenal. Although it is hard to judge teams based on their friendly outings, that win would certainly have laid down a marker ahead of that clash.
The Blues were further boosted this week by the signing of striker Alvaro Morata who arrived in a £70 million deal. The Spanish frontman is set to make his debut in this match as he attempts to hit the ground running at his new club.
Bayern Munich began their International Champions Cup game with a defeat (on penalties) to Arsenal and followed that up with the dismal performance against Carlo Ancelotti`s former club AC Milan. Despite being a friendly match, it was a morale-crushing defeat for a strong Munich side who were expected to win with ease.
Team news
Chelsea will be without Tiemoue Bakayoko, Eden Hazard, and Antonio Rudiger, while Bayern Munich will have to cope without Manuel Neuer, Sebastian Rudy, Joshua Kimmich, Arturo Vidal, and Niklas Sule.

Betting odds and tips
The German`s will not want a repeat of the performance against Milan so we may see a very different approach in this match as Ancelotti faces another former club. They played well in the first game against Arsenal, despite losing on penalties, and should be capable of raising their game a level for this clash.
Chelsea may field a slightly more experimental line-up with Alvaro Morata expected to make an appearance at some point.
The bookies have Bayern Munich as favourites but Chelsea can be expected to match them here. In fact, the draw looks the best value bet at a price of 2/1.
