Manchester City and AFC Bournemouth kick off five points adrift of league leaders Liverpool who have hit the ground running this season. The hosts have the same number of points and both teams can rise into the top three with a win on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola`s men began the campaign with a 5-0 win away to West Ham United before being held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur in which they had a late goal controversially disallowed after a handball incident in the build-up.

With Liverpool starting the season strongly, the Sky Blues will want to avoid slipping too far behind, even at this early stage. Anything other than a win would hand a clear advantage to their rivals in the title race. They have won each of their last eight matches against the Cherries.

Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth also started the season with a draw and a win albeit in less dramatic fashion. The 1-1 draw at home to newly promoted Sheffield United would have left them disappointed while the 2-1 win at Aston Villa made up for it somewhat.

Eddie Howe`s men are now an established Premier League force and will be targeting a top-half finish. A win against last years champions would lift hem into the top four, however, that is a result few are expecting.

It is remarkable that a team of Bouremouth`s quality can start a home match priced at 18/1 but that is the standard set by Pep Guardiola`s team who have dominated this fixture over the last few years.

Finding a value bet in this match is almost impossible but Bournemouth did restrict their opponents to a one-goal winning margin in their last two encounters on the South Coast. The same outcome can be backed at a reasonable price of 3/1.
