West Ham United will be defending a 10-game unbeaten home record when they host a Sunderland side who who will be fighting for their Premier League future at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.

Hammers happy at home

West Ham United have not been beaten at home since August last year, when Bournemouth ran out 4-3 winners in an early-season thriller. Since then the Hammers have won five and drawn five of their 10 matches on home soil.

The London club have scored in all but one of their home games this season, and both teams have scored in 67% of their home games.

In their last game, Slaven Bilic`s men had to fight back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw away to Norwich City. They currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table on a total of 40 points.

Sunderland just a point from safety

Sunderland picked up a valuable three points at home to Manchester United (2-1) in the last round of matches, and are now within touching distance of safety in the Barclays Premier League.

The northeast club are just one point behind local rivals Newcastle and three points behind Swansea City. A win in London could lift them out of the drop zone depending on other results

Sunderland have score in their last eight away games but have only managed to win two of them. On their last road trip, they came back from two goals down to earn a draw at 2-2 Anfield.

Team news

The home side will be without Joey O`Brien, James Tomkinson, Carl Jenkinson and Diafra Sakho, while Enner Valencia, Andy Carroll and Winston Reid will face late fitness tests.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be without Billy Jones, Duncan Watmore and Jeremain Lens, while Billy Jones, Jan Kirchhoff, Younes Kaboul and Seb Larsson are all on the doubtful list.
