Premier League preview and odds: Everton vs AFC Bournemouth
April 30 , 2016 15:00pm - Goodison Park
Premier League
Everton will be attempting to put a miserable week behind them when they welcome Premier League surprise package Bournemouth to Goodison Park on Saturday.
Everton rocked by derby and cup defeats
Everton followed up their humiliating 4-0 league defeat at the hands of city rivals Liverpool last Wednesday by getting dumped out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage by Manchester United on Saturday. With little left to play for, the Merseyside team can now set their sights on a top-half finish in the league.
Only bottom club Aston Villa have a worse home record in the Premier League than the Toffees, who will go in search of just their fifth league win on home soil on Saturday. However, Roberto Martinez`s men have not won any of their last seven league matches, and just one of their last 10 at home.
Bournemouth safe despite recent form
Bournemouth have lost four of their last five Premier league matches with their only win coming against lowly Aston Villa. As a result, they have slipped back to 14th in the table with a total of 41 points.
Much like Everton, the main problem for the Cherries has been their poor home form. Away from home, they have been much better, having lost just two of their last eleven.
Eddie Howe`s come into this game on the back of consecutive home defeats to Liverpool (1-2) and Chelsea (1-4).
Team news
Ramiro Funes Mori is suspended for the home side, who will also be without the injured Seamus Coleman and Tyias Browning, while Gareth Barry remains a doubt.
The visitors also have injury problems with Max Gradel, Tokelo Rantie and Tyrone Mings all out of action, while Adam Smith and Harry Arter are both doubtful.
Recent form (League)
Everton: LDDDL
AFC Bournemouth: LLWLL
Betting odds and tips
Bournemouth are stronger on the road and could take advantage of an Everton side that are poor at home and low on confidence.
