Barcelona vs Manchester United - International Champions Cup Preview and Odds
July 27, 2017 00:30pm - Fedex Field
Pre-season Friendly
Manchester United will look to extend their pre-season winning streak when they take on a Barcelona side adapting well to life under new boss Ernesto Valverde. The action takes place at the Fedex Field in Maryland on Thursday.
Barcelona started their North American tour with a 2-1 win over Juventus, exacting a small amount of revenge for last season`s 3-0 aggregate Champions League semi-final defeat. What`s more, the game marked their first under their new boss.
Following this match, the Blaugrana will test themselves with two further friendly encounters against Real Madrid and Chapecoense before beginning their competitive schedule against their arch rivals in the Spanish Super Cup in August.
The Catalan side will be keen to hit the ground running under Valverde as they attempt to wrestle the Spanish league crown away from the clutches of Zidane`s men. The biggest question between now and the start of the season will be whether Neymar remains a Barca player, with Paris St-Germain keen to recruit the Brazilian star. The 25-year-old played a crucial role in the win over Juventus, netting twice in the opening 26 minutes of their 2-1 win.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have had a flying start to their pre-season campaign, beating Real Madrid, Manchester City, Real Salt Lake and LA Galaxy and cruising to the top of the ICC table. They will play two more friendly matches before squaring up to Real Madrid once again in the UEFA Super Cup.
The Red Devils are expected to field a strong line-up for this clash, with star players Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba both expected to start.

Barcelona`s matches tend to involve plenty of goals, with each of their last eight producing at least three goals and six of those producing four or more. And with Manchester United now possessing extra firepower in the shape of Romelu Lukaku, both teams can be expected to score in this match.
