Premier League preview and odds: Arsenal vs AFC Bournemouth

November 27, 2016 15:15pm - Emirates Stadium

Referee: TBC

Premier League

Arsenal will look to extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches when they line up against mid-table dwellers AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Gunners can close gap to leaders with a win

With the teams immediately above them winning on Saturday, Arsenal will be looking to take all three points from their game on Sunday afternoon. That will mean breaking a two-game drawing streak and recording their first home win since the middle of October.

Despite their recent drawing habit, the Gunners have not lost a Premier League match since they fell at home to Liverpool on the opening day. They come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League that confirmed their progression to the knock out stages.

Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth have been busy forging their status as a mid-table Premier League side, amassing a 15-point haul after 12 games. The Cherries currently sit in 10th place in the table and come into this game on the back of an impressive 1-0 win away to Stoke City. That result broke a two-game losing streak and marked their first away win of the current campaign.

Team news

The home side will continue without Hector Bellerin (ankle), Lucas Perez (ankle), Santi Cazorla (Achilles), Chuba Akpom (back), Per Mertesecker (knee) and Danny Welbeck (knee).

Meanwhile, the visitors will hand a late fitness test to Andrew Surman, while Jordan Ibe (illness) and Artur Boruc (back) both remain doubtful. Lewis Cook (ankle) is the only definite absentee and will not feature until January at the earliest

Recent form (League):

Arsenal: DDWDW

AFC Bournemouth: WLLDW

Betting odds and tips

Arsenal have not been beaten since the opening day but they have drawn three of their last four league matches and their last three in a row in all competitions.

Bournemouth picked up their first away win last weekend but their overall away form has not been great. They have failed to score in half of their away games this season this season and have only won one of their last eight.
