Atalanta vs Dynamo Zagreb- Champions League Group Stage Preview and Odds
November 26, 2019 20:00pm - Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro, Milano)
Champions League: Group Stage
There are few better places to play your football than the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in the San Siro district of Milan. But Atalanta got off to the worst possible start in their temporary hangout losing 2-1 to Shakhtar Donetsk after dominating much of the game. However, they bounced back to earn a 1-1 draw against Manchester City in their last Champions League outing.
That was the Bergamo club`s first point of the campaign but remarkably, they can still progress to the group stage if they win their last two games and Manchester City win both of theirs.
Gian Piero Gasperini`s men are finding it tough balancing top-flight European football with another push for the top four on the domestic front but this is the kind of dilemma they want to get used to. With ambitions to be a new force in Italian football, they must endure all the slings and arrows that go with it. Reaching the Last 16 of the Champions League and finishing in the top four would be a remarkable achievement for the team that has lived in the shadows of the Milan clubs just a few miles down the road.
Their task is not easy though and they must now face the team who beat them 4-0 in the opening group stage game. While Atalanta arrive winless in five, Dinamo are unbeaten in 10 since losing 2-0 away to Manchester City in this tournament. Overall, they have lost just two of their last 16 Champions League matches including qualifiers. They also sit four points clear at the top of the Croatian league with a game in hand.
Nenad Bjelica`s men surprised the Italians with their tactics in the first league but a much closer encounter should be expected this time out as Gasperini adapts.

Betting odds and tips
Atalanta have had a couple of games to settle into their new home and held Manchester City in their last group stage game. If they can channel some of that spirit into this do or die match, they could have enough to get over the line - helped by their vocal fan base who despite their small numbers will fill the San Siro with noise on Tuesday. Having said that, the opposition have been scoring well away from home and should at least get on the scoresheet.
You can back Atalanta/Both Teams to Score at 15/8.
