Premier League
Second-ranked Liverpool will look to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea when they welcome mid-table dwellers Stoke City to Anfield on Tuesday Night. The visitors themselves can extend their unbeaten run to three games if they can avoid defeat on Merseyside.
One defeat in last 15 for Liverpool
Liverpool entered the Christmas period in second place in the Premier League table, six points behind pace-setters Chelsea. With the Londoners due to visit Anfield in January, the Reds will be hoping to keep the points` gap as low as possible ahead of that clash.
Jurgen Klopp`s men have not lost a league game at Anfield in over 11 months and will be hoping to continue that trend on Tuesday night. They come into this game on the back of consecutive away wins and clean sheets against Middlesbrough (3-0) and city rivals Everton (1-0). In total, they have lost just one of their last 15 matches and have scored more goals than any other team in the league.
Meanwhile, opponents Stoke City will go in search of their first win in three matches following defeat away to Arsenal (1-3) and back-to-back draws at home to Southampton (0-0) and Leicester City (2-2). However, history is not on the side Mark Hughes` men who have never won a top flight game at Anfield.
The Potters will be buoyed by the fact that they have scored at least one goal in all but one of their away matches this term including the last six in a row.
Team news
The home side will continue without the injured group of Philippe Coutinho (ankle), Adam Bogdan (ACL), Danny Ings (meniscus tear), Joe Gomez (Achilles tendonitis), Sheyi Ojo (back), Joel Matip (ankle) and Marko Grujic (tendon).
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without the services of the suspended Marko Arnautovic and the injured Phil Bardsley (knee), Geoff Cameron (knee), Jack Butland (ankle) and Stephen Ireland (leg), while Marc Muniesa remains a doubt following a knee injury..

Betting odds and tips
Stoke City`s record at Anfield is abysmal and they have struggled to score goals away from home against the top teams in recent years. That combined with Liverpool`s recent defensive improvement makes the home win to nil an attractive proposition.
