Watford claimed seven points from a possible nine in their last three matches to lift themselves back up to seventh place in the Premier League table. Next up, they host a Chelsea side looking to bounce back from a home defeat against Leicester City.

Javi Gracia`s men are genuine contenders for a place in the Premier League`s top six although there are at least half clubs that could make the same claim. They have already beaten Tottenham Hotpsur at Vicarage Road and pushed Manchester City close so they may fancy their chances against a Chelsea side who were beaten by Leicester City last time out.

The Hornets have yet to draw at home this season having won five and lost four of the nine matches they have played at Vicarage Road. Worryingly, they have leaked 11 goals in their last five home games so a clean sheet looks unlikely here.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have slipped 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool and appear to be out of the title race. Their cause was not helped by last week`s 0-1 home defeat to Leicester City, their first loss at Stamford Bridge this season. Away from home, only Spurs and Wolverhampton Wanderers have defeated Maurizio Sarri`s men.

The Blues have scored in all but one of their away games and will expect to find the net again against a team who have been shipping plenty of goals at home in recent weeks.

Betting odds and tips

Chelsea have lost two of their last three away games and were not convincing in their 2-1 win at Brighton and Hove Albion. Meanwhile, Watford are unbeaten in three and won their last two in a row albeit against lesser opponents.

If the home side can bring their best game, they could spring a surprise here. A win might be asking too much, but they look good value to claim their first home draw of the season.
