Liverpool will look to bounce back from last weekend`s 4-1 thumping at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur when they welcome newly-promoted Huddersfield Town to Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds had a torrid time at Wembley last week with centre-back Dejan Lovren being substituted before half time following a dismal performance in the opening period.

A midweek break, thanks to their absence from the League Cup, may have helped their cause as they seek to get their stumbling league campaign back on track.

The 7-0 Champions League thrashing of Maribor is now a distant memory with Klopp`s men looking for their first win in three matches in the league. A record that has left them ninth in the table with nine games played. Incredibly, they are already 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester City. On the bright side, a top four place is still within touching distance with just three separating them from fourth-ranked Chelsea.

Huddersfield will be buzzing following their 2-1 dismantling of Manchester United last weekend. That victory ended a six-game winless run and lifted them to 11th place in the table - not a bad position for a newly-promoted side.

However, their away form has not been good, a win against an out-of-sorts Crystal Palace side on the opening day their only triumph so far. Since then, they have picked up just one point on the road from trips to West Ham. Burnley and Swansea.

David Wagner`s men have failed to find the net in three of their four away games so the home win to nil should be considered. However, some may be put off by Liverpool`s poor defensive showing this term.
