Premier League
After getting thumped by Liverpool last week, Manchester City face another tricky challenge on Saturday when they play host to a Southampton side that has lost just once in seven matches.
Title favourites out to recover from stumble
City have been tipped as title favourites ever since Chelsea suffered their early season meltdown. However, with just one win in their last four games, the pressure is starting to mount for City Coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Their poor run started with a goalless draw against their city rivals Manchester United after which they earned a scrappy three against struggling Norwich. That was followed by another goalless draw, this time away to bottom club Aston Villa, and topped off by the hammering at home from Jurgen Klopps men.
The Citizens have now dropped to third in the table, two points behind Claudio Ranieris table-topping Leicester side. Another poor result against Southampton could see them drop out of the top four this weekend, depending on other results.
Saints suffer first defeat in seven
Until last weekends home defeat to in-form Stoke City, Ronald Koemans team had just lost one of their previous ten games in the Barclays Premier League. It was their third defeat of the season - all three of which have come at home.
They must now try and protect their unbeaten away record against title contenders Manchester City. It will be the first time that they have visited any of the current top seven teams.
Team news
City could welcome back David Silva and Wilfried Bony but Joe Hart has joined the list of absentees that includes Pablo Zabaleta, Eliaquim Managala and Vincent Kompany.
Southampton will have to manage without the injured trio of Jay Rodriguez, Florin Gardos and Fraser Forster.

Betting odds and tips
City are looking shaky and will be missing some key players once again. The Saints also had a blip last week but they have been playing consistently well for the last 10 games and could cause the home side some problems. The draw looks like a good bet at 10/3 with Bet365.
