Premier League
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their weekend drubbing at the hands of Southampton when they take on form side AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates in the Barclays Premier League on Monday.
Gunners miss chance to go top
Arsenal once again missed the chance to gain the initiative in the Premier League title race when they slumped to a disappointing 4-0 defeat away to Southampton on Boxing Day.
With surprise leaders Leicester falling at Liverpool earlier in the day, Arsenal had the perfect opportunity to grab top spot against a Saints team that were winless in five. However, it was not to be for Arsene Wengers men who looked totally out of sorts against the resurgent team from the South Coast.
Bournemouth showing fighting spirit
Over the last six matches, only Watford and Leicester City have amassed more Premier League points than Bournemouth. As a result, the pre-season relegation favourites have now risen to 14th place in the table but remain just three points clear of safety.
After winning three games in a row, the Cherries had to settle for a draw last time out as they played out a goalless game at home to Crystal Palace. They must now travel to London to defend their five-game unbeaten run against an Arsenal team that will be reeling from their weekend slip-up on the South Coast.
Team news
The Gunners are still without the services of Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth continue to struggle with injuries and will be without Josh King, Christian Atsu, Callum Wilson, Tommy Elphick, Max Gradel and Tyrone Mings. However, Lee Tomlin is in line for a return.
