Premier League preview and odds: Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur
December 28, 2015 15:00pm - Vicarage Road
Premier League
Watford will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games on Monday when they welcome top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur to Vicarage Road in the Barclays Premier League.
Watford pushing for Euro berth
Watford can go level on points with their top-four opponents with a win at home on Monday. The Hornets have not lost a game in the Premier League since their defeat to Manchester Unite back in November - a run that stretches back five games and includes four wins and a draw.
On Boxing Day the Hornets came away with a point from Stamford Bridge after playing out a 2-2 draw against struggling Chelsea. The result brought to an end a four-game winning streak for Quique Sanchez Flores` men.
Spurs closing gap on leaders
After finally breaking into the top four, Tottenham, have further consolidated their place in the Champion League qualification positions with back-to-back wins in the last seven days.
They followed up their away win at Southampton with a home win against lowly Norwich and recorded consecutive clean sheets in the process. With the top two teams both losing, Spurs are now just six points adrift of top spot in the table.
Team news
Spurs should once again have a full strength side to choose from. Meanwhile, the visitors will continue without Joel Ekstrand.
