Blackpool vs Exeter City - League Two play-off Final preview and odds
May 28, 2017 15:00pm - Wembley Stadium
Premier League
Two teams whose two-legged semi-finals produced 11 goals apiece will go head-to-head for a place in League One when Blackpool and Exeter meet at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Exhilarating contest expected
Following their semi-final exertions, both teams have had plenty of time to recover for this weekend`s Wembley clash paving the way for yet another high-tempo goal fest.
These two sides were separated by just a point in the final League Two standings with Exeter claiming fifth place, while Blackpool finished seventh. The West Country side scored 75 goals to their opponent`s 69, however, the Lancashire side conceded 10 less (46) than their rivals (56).
In a game where scoring goals under pressure could make all the difference, the Exeter City strike force may just have the edge. Right-winger David Wheeler, and strikers Ollie Watkins and Rueben Reid scored 46 goals between this term and they also have plenty of other capable goal scorers throughout the side. They were narrowly beaten by Carlisle on the last day of the season but took revenge over two legs in the play-offs.
In Paul Tisdale, the Grecians also have a manager who has previously led the club to League One (2010) after hauling them out of the National League in 2009 in just his third season in charge.

Betting odds and tips
All of the four semi-final legs featuring these two teams produced over 4.5 Goals and while the goal count might not get that high on the Wembley turf, Over 3.5 Goals could be worth backing at a price on 13/8. Exeter`s last five games and Blackpool`s last three have all paid out in this market.
During the semi-finals, Exeter never fell behind and always looked likely to progress. In contrast, Blackpool often fell behind after leading and had to claw their way back to eventually prevail. As a result, Exeter look good value to keep their rivals at arm`s length during this clash.
You can back Over 3.5 Goals at 13/8 with Bet365 or Exeter/Over 3.5 Goals at 6/1 with various bookmakers.
