Premier League preview and odds: Leicester City vs Manchester City
December 29, 2015 19:45pm - King Power Stadium
Premier League
Leicester City can reaffirm their title credentials on Tuesday night by beating one of the pre-season favourites as Manchester City pay a visit to the King Power stadium.
Leicester defeated away for first time
When Leicester City were beaten by Arsenal back in September, many predicted that it would mark the beginning of their inevitable descent back down the table. But with nearly half the season gone, they remain clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead on the Holiday Monday games.
On their back of their second defeat of the season (away to Liverpool), claims that the Foxes bubble has burst can once again be heard. With a difficult run of fixtures ahead, starting with this home clash against title contenders Manchester City, the next few weeks could be make-or-break for Claudio Ranieri`s men.
City can close the gap
Following their defeat to title rivals Arsenal a week ago, Manchester City bounced back with a comfortable win over struggling Sunderland on Boxing Day. They now have a chance to go level on points with league leaders Leicester when they travel to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
While it seems certain that Pep Guardiola will be arriving in the summer, current boss Manuel Pellegrini will be out to prove that he is still the right man for the job by leading City to their second league title under his leadership. A win on Tuesday night would put the Citizens right back in the hunt.
Team news
Leicester will be hoping that Jamie Vardy can recover from illness in time, while Danny Drinkwater could also return after recovering from a hamstring injury. However, Jeff Schlupp and Matt James are both at least a month away.
Meanwhile, the visitors are still without the injured duo of Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri.

Betting odds and tips
Leicester looked completely devoid of ideas against Liverpool but it remains to be seen if that result was just a blip. They have won five of their eight games at home this season, but against their top four rivals, they could only manage a draw against Spurs (1-1) and were defeated by Arsenal (2-5). City have not won away from home since September and have only scored two goals in that time.
The Leicester-Draw Double Chance can be backed at 10/11 with Bet365.
