With half the season gone, Liverpool are six point`s clear at the top pf the Premier League table. They will look to maintain their authority by defeating an Arsenal side battling for a place in the top four.

Few would have predicted Liverpool would be top of the table, let alone have such a cushion at this stage of the season. But Jurgen Klopp`s men have been transformed from an offensive force with a habit of leaking soft goals to a balanced outfit who can attack and defend with equal competence.

Having overhauled Manchester City, the Reds can now focus on keeping their rivals at arm`s length. A win over top-four challengers Arsenal would be another statement of intent heading into the second half of the campaign.

Remarkably, Liverpool have conceded just seven goals all season and just two on home soil in their last 14 matches. That is testament to the impact goalkeeper Alisson and centre-back Virgil van Dijk have made since arriving on Merseyside.

Meanwhile, Arsenal arrive at Anfield having won just one of their last five away matches having drawn three and lost the other. However, they have managed to find the net on their last 14 Premier League away trips.

Last time out, Unai Emery`s men were held to a 1-1 draw at Brighton and their previous away game ended in 3-2 defeat at Southampton.
