Premier League preview and odds: Leicester City vs West Brom

March 01, 2016 19:45pm - King Power Stadium

Premier League

Leicester City will be attempting to move one step closer to Premier League glory on Tuesday night when they welcome mid-table dwellers West Bromwich Albion to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester at the summit

Leicester City are sitting proudly on top of the Premier League but are not quite in a position to plant their flag of victory just yet. The odds-defying team led by the likeable Italian Coach still have plenty of work to do if they are going to secure one of the most remarkable league title wins in English football history.

However, with 11 games left the play, the team that was written off as relegation fodder at the start of the campaign are now the bookies favourites to claim the title.

With just one defeat in their last 10 matches, the Foxes are showing no signs of fading. On home soil, they are unbeaten in nine and have not conceded a goal in their last five fixtures at their East Midlands home.

Claudio Ranieri`s men come into this game on the back of a 1-0 home win over relegation-threatened Norwich City, in which they appeared to be heading for a goalless stalemate, until Leonardo Ulloa struck late to grab all three points.

West Brom can secure top-half finish

A pair of consecutive wins against Everton and Crystal Palace have all but secured West Bromwich Albion`s Premier League status for another season. The Baggies never really looked in danger, despite a mid-season blip, and can now concentrate on trying to finish in the top half of the table.

With plenty of bonus money up for grabs for each league position, Tony Pulis will be hoping to keep his players motivated heading into the run-in.

They come into this game on the back of a 3-2 win at home to struggling Crystal Palace. Prior to that, they bagged their first win in eight away games with a 1-0 triumph at Everton.

Team news

The home side will welcome back Danny Simpson, who was suspended for the last match.

Meanwhile, the away side will be without Chris Brunt, Jonny Evans, James Morrison and Callum Mcmamaman.
