Manchester United will look to tighten their grip on second place in table when they host relegation battlers Swansea City at Old Trafford on Saturday. With Liverpool playing Crystal Palace earlier in the day, the Red Devils could find themselves in third place by the time the game kicks off but with two games in hand, they will remain favourites to claim the runners-ups spot.

Despite some questions about their performances and style of play, United come into this game on the back of seven wins in their last nine games. Overall, they have lost just two of their last 42 home matches in the league so nothing less than a win will do this weekend.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic now departed, there is added responsibility on the shoulders of Romelu Lukaku who needs just one more goal to reach his 100th in the Premier League. He has already scored 10 goal and added four assists in 2018.

Carlos Carvalhal has transformed his team`s fortunes since arriving back in December but the Swans are not out iof danger yet. A run of just one defeat in their last five has lifted out of the drop zone but a couple of defeats could see them dragged back into the mire.

Away from home the Welsh team have not been great, recording just two wins all season. However, they have drawn three of their last four on the road and scored in four of the last five. Key man Jordan Ayew will be missing through suspension.

Head to head, Manchester United have won seven of the last 13 matches between the two teams and Mourinho has yet to lose against the Swans.
