Sunderland vs AFC Bournemouth - Premier League preview and odds
April 29, 2017 15:00pm -Stadium of Light
Premier League
Rock bottom Sunderland will attempt to garner some pride from their dismal season by overcoming the challenge of AFC Bournemouth at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Last chance saloon for Sunderland
A midweek reverse against fellow strugglers Middlesbrough has left Sunderland 12 points from safety with just five games left to play. A win this weekend would keep their slim survival hopes alive although a great escape now looks like an impossible task.
David Moyes` men have shown little sign of mounting a recovery having won just one of their last 16 Premier League matches. What`s more, they have failed to win a single match on home soil in 2017 although they did manage a draw against West Ham United in their last match at the stadium of Light.
Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth can move a step closer to Premier League survival with a win on Saturday afternoon. The Cherries have already accumulated 38 points and only a freak run of results can now prevent them from retaining their top-flight status for a third-straight season.
Eddie Howe`s men come into this game on the back of a 4-0 demolition of struggling Middlesbrough. However, they have yet to win on the road in 2017 having drawn three and lost four away from the Riverside.

Betting odds and tips
You can back the draw at 14/5 with Bet365.
Sunderland have failed to win in their last nine matches and they have scored just two goals in their last six home games while conceding 11.
AFC Bournemouth have drawn three of their last four away matches but all of those games came against top nine teams. Their last away match against a bottom three side resulted in a 3-0 win at Swansea City. As a result, they should be expected to wrap up all three points and potentially condemn their opponents to relegation.
You can back the draw at 14/5 with Bet365.
