Premier League preview and odds: Manchester United vs Burnley
October 29, 2016 15:00pm - Old Trafford
Premier League
After a poor run of just one win in six matches, seventh-ranked Manchester United will look to get their Premier League title challenge back on track with a win over newly-promoted Burnley. Meanwhile, the visitors can move to within a point of their hosts with a win at Old Trafford.
United boosted by League Cup derby win
Following their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea last weekend, Manchester United bounced back with a 1-0 victory over their city rivals in Wednesday`s League Cup clash.
Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his side can carry that form into the Premier League when they welcome one of the newly-promoted teams to Old Trafford this weekend.
The Red Devils have good form on their own turf having lost just one of their last 12 matches at home in the league. That defeat came at the hands of Pep Guardiola`s team back in September. In their last home game, they were held 1-1 by Stoke City.
Meanwhile, Burnley have not fared well on the road this term having lost all three of their away games, conceding nine goals and scoring just one in the process. Last time out, they fell 3-1 at Southampton and prior to that, they suffered consecutive 3-0 defeats to Leicester City and Chelsea.
With all of their points earned at home do far, the prospects do not look good for the Clarets. They have conceded three goals in each of their away matches and have only found the net once themselves.
Team news
Manchester United`s injury problems were amplified this week when Eric Bailly suffered knee ligament damage. The defender is likely to be out of action until next year and joins James Wilson and Phil Jones in the treatment room. The good news is that Anthony Martial should return, while Wayne Rooney and Chris Smalling remain slight doubts.
Meanwhile, the visitors will give late fitness tests to Steven Defour, George Boyd and Ashley Barnes.

Betting odds and tips
Burnley conceded three goals on each of their last two visits to Old Trafford and have conceded three goals in all of their Premier League away matches this term.
Manchester United have scored in all of their last 12 Premier League matches. Half of their home matches this season have produced Over 2.5 Goals while all of Burnleys away games have reached that figure.
The home win does not offer much value but Over 2.5 goals looks like a decent bet for albeit for a relatively modest return. You could boost the price further by combining the Over 2.5 goal bet with a home win.
You can back Over 2.5 Goals at 7/10 with Bet365.
Manchester United/Over 2.5 Goals is available at around 9/10 with various bookmakers.
