Burnley vs Newcastle United - Premier League Preview and Odds
October 30, 2017 20:00pm - Turf Moor
Premier League
Two teams who are neck-and-neck in the Premier League table will go head-to-head on Monday as ninth-ranked Burnley take on eight-ranked Newcastle United at Turf Moor.
Burnley`s six game unbeaten run came to an end last week when they were beaten 3-0 away to Manchester City, but losing to the undefeated league leaders was certainly no disgrace. What`s more, it was only the second defeat of the season for the Clarets.
Sean Dyche`s men continue to impress with the way they adapt their style of play to best effect for each fixture, often grinding out a draw rather than risking it all and going for the win. As a result, they only have three wins to their name but have avoided defeat in a total of seven matches.
Newcastle United have also raised a few eyebrows with their strong showing on their return to the top flight. The Magpies are currently sat in eighth place in the table having won four, drawn two and lost three of their nine matches so far. A win on Monday night would lift them into six place between Arsenal and Liverpool.
Last time out, Rafa Benitez`s men left it late, grabbing all three points at home to struggling Crystal Palace to extend their unbeaten run to three games.

Betting odds and tips
Burnley were dominant at Turf Moor and dreadful on the road last season but this year their away form seems to have improved at the expense of their home superiority. So far, they have won just one of their four home encounters and that win came against bottom-of-the-pile Crystal Palace. They have scored just twice at home all season and all of their matches at Turf Moor have ended with under 2.5 goals.
Likewise, Newcastle have won just once on the road and all but one of those games ended with fewer than 2.5 goals, the exception being their last trip away to Swansea City (2-2). As a result, the Under 2.5 Goals bet looks like a good option here. In fact, it would not be a surprise if this game ended goalless or was decided by a single goal, also bringing the Under 1.5 market into play at an even more attractive price.
You can back Under 2.5 Goals at 8/13 or Under 1.5 Goals at 7/4 - both with bet365.
