Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City - Premier League Preview and Odds
October 29, 2018 15:00pm - Anfield
Premier League
With their Champions League hopes fading after a draw in Eindhoven which saw them reduced to 10 men, Tottenham Hotspur will now look to get their domestic title challenge back on track when they face favourites Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Monday.
The North London club have just one point to show from three group matches in Europe and are five point adrift of second-ranked Inter. They may need to win all three of their remaining games to stand any chance of progressing.
On the domestic front, they have won four in a row since losing at home to Liverpool back in September. A win on Monday would lift them above Manchester City, level on points with second-ranked Chelsea, and mark them as genuine title contenders.
Much like league leaders Liverpool, Spurs have continued to pick up points without being at their best and this could bode well if they finally hit their stride. However, that trait has also seen them drop six point against Liverpool and Watford. Their last four victories have come against bottom half opposition, the last two via 1-0 scorelines. Overall, Spurs have kept pace by the finest margins and will look to improve.
Meanwhile, Manchester City will look to return to the top of the table with a win on Monday. They have only lost one of their last 26 Premier League away matches and that defeat came against Liverpool at Anfield. They arrive here on the back of a 3-0 win away to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League that lifted them to the top of Group F.
Their league form has been slightly less impressive this term but they remain unbeaten and have the best goal difference record of any team. As a result, Pep Guardiola`s men remain favourites to defend their crown. Last weekend, they put five past Burnley without reply and prior to that, they came away from Anfield with a point, something they failed to do last term.

Betting odds and tips
Manchester City have lost just one of their last 26 away games in the league and have a strong record against Spurs having won 10 of their last 15 encounters.
With that in mind, the away win looks the choice bet on Monday night.
You can back Manchester City to win at 8/11.
