Premier League
Bottom-of-the-pile Hull City have will have a chance to haul themselves off the foot of the Premier League table when they welcome seventh-ranked Everton to the KCOM Stadium on Friday night. The visitors themselves can maintain their current position with a win.
One win in 16 for Hull City
Hull City are without a win in seven matches and have only claimed all three points on one occasion in their last 16 encounters. In addition, they have conceded at least one goal in each of their last 16 matches and have failed to keep a clean sheet on home soil.
As a result, Mike Phelan`s men are now residing at the foot of the Premier League table, with just 12 points their name and the worst goal difference in the division. On home soil, their record makes slightly better reading, with just one defeat in their last four matches. However, they have only won one of their last nine at the KCOM Stadium.
Last time out, the Tigers held on for 70 minutes before eventually falling 0-3 at home to title contenders Manchester City.
Meanwhile, opponents Everton will look to consolidate their current seventh-place ranking by recording their second away win in a week. The Toffees bounced back the disappointment of their Merseyside derby defeat with a 2-0 win away at reigning champions Leicester City - a result which marked their first triumph in seven matches on the road.
As the top six continues to pull away from the pack, Ronald Koeman`s men look set to battle it out with Southampton, West Bromwich Albion amongst others for the best-of-the-rest tag.
Team news
The home side have had a tough time with injuries of late and that looks set to continue this weekend with Abel Hernandez (hernia), Will Keane (knee), Greg Luer (cartilage), Brian Lenihan (knee), Allan McGregor (back) and Moses Odubajo (knee) all out of action.
Meanwhile, the visitors are hoping that Maarten Stekelenburg will return from a dead leg in time for this clash, but will have to cope without the services of James McCarthy (hamstring), Yannick Bolasie (knee), Arouna Kone (knee), Muhamed Besic (knee) and Matthew Pennington (thigh).

Betting odds and tips
Hull have only lost one of their last four at home but have only won once at the KCOM since their opening day triumph over Leicester City.
Everton haven`t exactly excelled on the road either, with just one win in their last seven. However, that win did on their Boxing Day trip to Leicester and come into this game looking fitter than they have all season.
While this should be a close game, Hull city are almost certain to concede at some point so may need to score at least two to claim a win.
In the goal scorer market, Romelu Lukaku looks like a decent bet to score the first goal at a price of 10/3. Especially when bearing in mind that the home side have conceded the first goal in 83% of their matches this term. You can back the Away Win at around Evens with Bet365.
