Manchester United vs Arsenal - Premier League Preview and Odds
September 30, 2019 20:00pm - Old Trafford Stadium (Manchester)
Premier League
Manchester United will look for a return to the top half of the table when they host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Monday night. Both sides are in a slump and hoping that a return to glory comes sooner rather than later.
With just six Premier League matches played, Manchester United will kick off this crucial top-flight clash an incredible 13 points behind league leaders Liverpool. The team that dominated the English game for more than two decades have already written off their title hopes for a seventh-straight season and are in danger of missing out of the top four finish once again.
Despite ongoing financial success off the pitch the Red Devils just cannot get things right where it really matters to the fans. They have won just two of their six games this season and are currently sat in 11th place in the table. However, a win against their old foes could lift them into the top six just a point outside of the Champions League places. It may be early in the campaign but this can already be classed as a crucial game for the Old Trafford club.
Likewise, Arsenal will view this game as crucial in shaping the rest of their season. A win would propel them into the top four and keep their Champions League qualification quest on course, while defeat would leave them outside of the top six. With Liverpool and Manchester City set to battle it out for the title, a top-four finish will be the best the Gunners can hope for this term.
The North Londoner`s only defeat of the campaign so far came away to Liverpool but they would have been disappointed with their performances in the last two games when they drew at Watford before leaving it late to defeat Aston Villa at home. Arsenal`s woes may not run as deep as Manchester United`s but defeat on Monday would raise the volume of the dissenting voices in the capital.

Betting odds and tips
Arsenal have not won a league game at Old Trafford since 2006 but they did manage a 2-2 draw last year and a similar result would not be a surprise. The home side have won two of their three league games at Old Trafford this term and a draw would represent a good result under the current circumstances.
You can back the Draw and Both Teams to Score at 10/3.
