Premier League preview and odds: Norwich City vs Southampton
January 2, 2015 15:00pm - Carrow Road
Premier League
Premier League new boys Norwich have enjoyed a steady rise up the table in recent weeks and will now test themselves against a Southampton side who have being slowly heading in the opposite direction.
Two wins in three for Norwich
A run of four games with just one defeat has elevated the Norfolk club to 15th place in the Premier League table at the halfway stage of the season.
They come into this game on the back of a solid 2-0 victory over bottom club Aston Villa, and now sit level with reigning champions Chelsea on 20 points. Despite their recent improvement, they are still just three points clear of the danger zone with Bournemouth and Swansea hot on their heels.
Saints struggling to maintain form
After picking Arsenal apart at the weekend, Southampton fell to their third defeat in four games at West Ham on Monday night. In total, the Saints have now lost five of their last seven games and picked up just one win during that time.
The 2-1 defeat to West Ham was the third away defeat in a row for the South Coast team who have now slipped to 12th in the table.
Team news
Norwich are hoping to be back to full strength, with both Andre Wisdom and Matt Jarvis back in contention after spells out with injury.
Meanwhile, the visitors will continue without Graziano Pelle, Cedric Soares, Jay Rodriguez, Florin Gardos and Fraser Forster.

Betting odds and tips
Norwich are unbeaten at home in their last four games (WDDW) and Southampton have lost their last three away from home. With that in mind the Norwich-Draw Double chance looks good value at 4/6 with Bet365.
