Everton vs Manchester City - Premier League Preview and Odds
March 31, 2018 17:30 Goodison Park
Premier League
Manchester City will head to Merseyside in search of the first of two wins they need to secure the Premier League title. A win would also ensure that they become only the third team in Premier League history to beat every opponent in one season (a feat achieved by Chelsea in 2005-06 and Manchester United in 2010-11). They would have done that already had they not drawn with Everton when the two sides met at the Eithad earlier in the campaign.
The home side come into this fixture on the back of two-straight wins which has eased the pressure on under-fire boss Sam Allardyce. They will hoping to repeat the result of their last meeting at Goodison Park when the Toffees inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Pep Guardiolas men. That result remains the Spaniards heaviest league defeat as a Coach.
Everton still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe but there is a feeling that they have hit a glass ceiling under Big Sam. Having steered them clear of the drop zone, the former England boss has now got his team treading water and it is hard to imagine them challenging for the top places next year. Considering the amount of money they have spent, Everton fans would have been hoping for more this term and might be hoping for yet another managerial change in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester City look like a team that is close to achieving perfection. With 26 win from 30 Premier League matches, they are now just six points away from claiming the league title with plenty of room to spare. In fact, it has been embarrassingly easy for Guardiola`s charges this term. They arrive on Merseyside with a goal difference of +65 in the knowledge that a win would give them a chance to secure the title against Manchester United in the next game. As well as scoring the most goals, the Sky Blues have also kept the most clean sheets.

Betting odds and tips
City have scored an average of 2.3 goals per away game this term and have scored in their last nine in a row so goals should always be expected. Everton will attempt to stop the tide but there is too much talent in this City side to prevent an away win here.
You can back Over 2.5 goals at 7/10.
