League leaders Liverpool face a short trip up the M65 to face Burnley in what could be their trickiest fixture of the season so far.

Burnley opened their Premier League account with a convincing 3-0 win at home to Southampton before falling 2-1 away to Arsenal. They then took their points tally to four with a 1-1 draw on the road at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Sean Dyche`s men have lost their last three matches against Liverpool and are winless in the last five meetings between the two. However, they have scored at least one goal in each of their last six encounters.

Burnley fell 3-1 to Sunderland in their midweek League Cup game after making 10 changes to their starting line-up. That game highlighted the lack of strength in depth at Turf Moor and extended the team`s poor record in the competition with seven defeats in their last eight games.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp`s men remain the only side with maximum points in the Premier League having eased past Norwich City, Southampton and Arsenal. However, they are still without their first choice goalkeeper Allison and have not kept a clean sheet in a competitive match since the Champions League final back in June.

With the league title expected to go down to the wire again, the Reds will be looking to maintain their advantage over Manchester City by making it four wins in four against the Clarets.
