Champions League Preview and Odds - FC Copenhagen vs Leicester City
November 02, 2016 19:45pm - Telia Parken
Champions League - Group Stage
Leicester City will look to extend their faultless run in the Champions League to four games when they travel to Denmark to take on FC Copenhagen on Wednesday night.
Three wins and no goals conceded for Leicester City
After defying all the odds to win last season`s Premier League, Leicester City have already exceeded all expectations in their first ever Champions League campaign. With three wins out of three, five goals scored and none conceded, the Foxes have already proven that they can compete at the highest level away from the comfort of their domestic league.
Claudio Ranieri`s men may have had a stuttering start to their league title defence but it has only been their away form that has let them down. At home, they have not been beaten in the league in over a year.
The East Midlands side did manage to pick up a point away to Tottenham last weekend and their debut Champions League game ended in a 3-0 victory away to Club Brugge.
When these teams met in the reverse fixture two weeks ago, it was the English side that came out on top thanks to a single Riyad Mahrez goal.
Meanwhile, FC Copenhagen will look to maintain their position as second-ranked team in Group G by bagging their second home win of their campaign.
The Danish club won their four last Champions League home matches (including qualifiers), scoring 14 goals and conceding none in the process. Overall, they have lost just five of their last 27 matches at home in this competition.
In all competitions, Stale Solbakken`s men are unbeaten in 30 matches on home soil and have only lost one of their last 14 on the road.
Team news
The home side will have to make do without Danny Amankwaa and Nicolai Boilsesen.
Meanwhile, the visitors are still without Ben Chilwell (muscle), Nampalys Mendy (ankle) and Matthew James (ankle), while Islam Slimani is a doubt with a tight groin.

Betting odds and tips
Copenhagen are strong at home and Leicester City will have their work cut out. However, with nine points already on the board the pressure will be off Claudio Ranieri`s men.
The hosts could lose second spot in the group if they fail to win and have to play rivals Porto in the next game.
Based on the current form of both sides, the draw looks like a good bet, and that would suit Leicester just fine.
